Stonecoast Medical Teams mission is to provide service internationally to small, isolated communities with as little cultural impact as possible. This includes, but is not limited to medical clinics, health and hygiene education, public health education, aide in coordination of local resources and services, social and welfare assessments and intervention when available, and aide in training and support of local professionals.
The ultimate goal is to enable self sufficiency in those isolated communities. This is accomplished though assessment of local situations, knowledge of available resources, coordination of resources, education and training of local people, providing resources(medical, material, personnel) as needed and ensuring necessary physical structures are present where needed.
